Escuela Mexicana was exactly what I needed to bring back and improve upon the Spanish language I learned many years ago. It's been both extremely rewarding and fun. The very kind and patient teachers really want to help me to learn Spanish and I have learned and I can communicate!

I came to La Escuela Méxicana as a chaperone with a school group, but soon enrolled as a student myself. La Escuela Mexicana is a special place where my students, my own children, and myself can learn the Spanish language and the Mexican culture while making lasting, global friendships. The staff and the host families ensure we are all cared for and that our experiences in Guanajuato change the way we think about our place in the world and they have taught us about the true heart of the Mexican people. Each of my students, chaperones, and my own family members have wanted to return to Guanajuato, especially to our extended family at La Escuela Mexicana. I wouldn't have fallen in love with Guanajuato as deeply as I did if it weren't for the staff at La Escuela who helped immerse me in this amazing region.
